Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

DiverseVET is a project about diversity, inclusion and equal access to vocational education. It is therefore essential to us that our own website can be used by everyone, including people with visual, motor, cognitive or hearing disabilities, as well as older users and people on slower connections or less powerful devices.

We are committed to meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we have implemented

  • Colour contrast: text and background combinations meet the WCAG AA threshold of at least 4.5:1 throughout the site.
  • Alternative text: every meaningful image carries descriptive alternative text for screen reader users.
  • Keyboard navigation: the entire site can be navigated using a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
  • Logical heading structure: headings follow a consistent order so screen reader users can move through pages by structure.
  • Accessible forms: all form fields have visible labels and clear error messages that do not rely on colour alone.
  • Text resizing: text can be enlarged up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • No autoplay: no content flashes, moves, or plays automatically.
  • Language declaration: each page correctly declares its language, and language switches are clearly indicated.

Known limitations

Some documents in the Library section were produced by partner organisations and may not yet be fully accessible. Where a document presents a barrier, please contact us and we will provide the content in an alternative format.

Embedded videos hosted on YouTube are subject to YouTube’s own accessibility features. We add subtitles to all videos produced by the DiverseVET project team.

Feedback

For accessibility feedback, please contact info@unitee.eu and we will reply within 10 working days.
